Find My Lost Device for iOS — Support

This page supports the iOS app Find My Lost Device (shown on the Home Screen as Device Finder), App Store ID 1495741347, bundle ID com.andychung.DeviceFinder, published by WL Online Marketing LLC.

How it works

  1. Allow Bluetooth access when the app asks, so it can scan for nearby devices.
  2. Scan, then select the device you lost from the list of nearby Bluetooth devices.
  3. Move around and watch the radar: the signal gets stronger as you get closer to the device.

If you allow location access, the app can also show on the map where your phone was when a saved device was last seen.

Common questions

Why don't I see my device?

Devices that are turned off, out of battery, too far away or not sending a Bluetooth signal can't be shown. Make sure Bluetooth is on and that the app is allowed to use it (Settings > Privacy & Security > Bluetooth), then scan again.

Why is the signal unstable?

Bluetooth signal strength changes with the connection type and with walls, furniture or people between you and the device, so the reading moves around. Walk slowly and watch the trend rather than a single value.

How do I find a single AirPod?

Put the other AirPod in its case and close it, then start scanning again.

How do I find the AirPods case?

The case can only be found if at least one AirPod is inside it. The case itself doesn't send a signal.

How do I change the app's language?

The app follows your iPhone's language. To use a different language for this app only, go to Settings > Apps > Find My Lost Device > Language.
