VHS Cam — Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 13, 2026
This policy applies to the iPhone and iPad app VHS Cam (App Store ID 1091555594, bundle ID com.shadiosta.vhsEditor.pro), published by Ringtones LLC under the App Holdings name (“we”, “us”).
In short:
- Your videos and photos are recorded and processed on your device. We never receive them.
- Since version 2.1, VHS Cam has no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and it doesn’t send any data about you to us or to anyone else.
- Purchases are handled by Apple. We don’t receive your name, Apple Account or payment details.
- VHS Cam has no accounts. We don’t sell your personal information.
Camera, microphone and your videos and photos
VHS Cam uses the camera and microphone only while you use the app, to show the camcorder preview and to record your clips and photos. The retro look, the date stamp and the other effects are applied on your device. Finished videos and photos are saved to your photo library only with your permission, and you can share them with the apps you choose through the iOS share sheet.
If you import a video or photo, you pick it in Apple’s photo picker, and VHS Cam only gets the item you picked. If you add a song, it comes from the music library on your device and is mixed into your video on the device.
Settings
Your settings, such as the date and time shown on the camcorder, the selected look and whether the watermark and date are shown, are stored only on your device.
VHS Cam PRO
VHS Cam PRO is optional. It is offered as a weekly or yearly subscription that renews automatically until you cancel it, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Apple processes all payments; we don’t receive your name, Apple Account or payment details. The app checks your PRO status with Apple through StoreKit on your device. You can manage or cancel a subscription in Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Apple’s handling of purchases is covered by the Apple Privacy Policy.
Earlier versions
Versions of VHS Cam before 2.1 showed ads through the Appodeal advertising service and its partner networks and included the Facebook SDK for sharing. Those services could collect device identifiers and usage data to show and measure ads, under their own privacy policies. Version 2.1 removed all of them. Updating the app stops that data collection.
Children
VHS Cam is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
You can change the camera, microphone, photo library and music permissions at any time in iOS Settings › VHS Cam. Deleting the app removes its settings from your device. Videos and photos you saved stay in your photo library until you delete them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app.
