Titanic: Mystery Room Escape / Escape Titanic — Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 19, 2026
This policy applies to the room escape game Titanic: Mystery Room Escape for iPhone and iPad (bundle ID com.freshgames.titanic) and Escape Titanic for Android (package com.freshgames.escapethetitanic), published by WL Online Marketing LLC, which appears on the App Store and Google Play as App Holdings (“we”, “us”).
In short:
- The game has no accounts and no chat. Your progress, coins, energy and settings are stored on your device.
- The game shows ads through AppLovin MAX. AppLovin (and, on iPhone and iPad, Google AdMob) collect some device and usage data to show and measure those ads, as described below.
- If you choose to get notifications about new levels, your device’s push token goes to our own server so that we can tell you when new levels come out. You can switch this off at any time in Options.
- If you choose to sign up for emails about new levels, we keep your email address only for that, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
- We don’t use a separate analytics service, and we don’t sell your personal information.
Game progress and settings
Your progress in both chapters, your coins and energy, the daily reward, hints and answers you have unlocked, your purchases and your sound and notification settings are stored in the app’s storage on your device (and in your device backups, according to your backup settings). They stay there until you reset the game in Options or uninstall the app. We don’t receive them.
Notifications about new levels
After you have played a few levels, and again at the end of Chapter 2, the game asks whether you want a notification when new levels come out. Only if you say yes does the game ask for your device’s permission to show notifications (on iPhone and iPad, and on Android 13 and later; on earlier Android versions notifications are allowed by default and the switch in Options starts on).
To be able to send these notifications, the game sends the following to our server (push.appchair.com, operated by App Holdings): the push token that Apple Push Notification service (iPhone and iPad) or Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android, provided by Google) gives the app, a random identifier the app creates when it is installed, whether notifications are switched on in the game and allowed by your device, the game language, your device’s region and time zone setting, the app version, the operating system version and the device model. Nothing is sent to our server before you switch notifications on (on Android, Firebase Cloud Messaging isn’t started until then either). If you switch them off later, the game tells our server, and we stop sending to your device.
We use this only to send notifications about new levels and other news about this game, in your language, and to count how many players have them switched on. Apple or Google deliver the notifications to your device. You can switch them off at any time with New-level alerts in the game’s Options, or in your device’s notification settings. A push token we can no longer deliver to is deleted.
Emails about new levels
At the end of Chapter 2 the game offers to email you when new levels come out. If you enter your email address and tap Sign up, the game sends it to our server together with the game language, your platform (iOS or Android), the app version and the time you signed up. The app’s random identifier is sent too, but only to limit repeated sign-ups; it isn’t stored with your address. We use your address only to email you about new levels of this game. We don’t sell it or share it with other companies, except a service provider that sends the emails on our behalf. Every email has a link to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to delete your address (see Contact).
Advertising
The game shows a full-screen ad between scenes (never in the first three scenes, and at most every second scene) and offers optional reward videos that give coins, energy or a free hint. Ads are served through the AppLovin MAX SDK. On iPhone and iPad, MAX can also show ads from Google AdMob. The game uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to ask for consent where the law requires it, and your choices are passed on to the ad networks. When ads are shown, AppLovin, Google and the ad networks they work with may collect:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate your general location;
- device identifiers: on iPhone and iPad the advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking; on Android the advertising ID, unless you have deleted it in your device settings; and app- or developer-scoped identifiers;
- advertising data, such as the ads you have seen;
- interaction data, such as app launches, taps and ad views;
- device and diagnostic data, such as device model, operating system version, crash logs and performance data.
They use this data to show ads and measure how they perform, to limit how often you see the same ad, to detect fraud, and, where you have allowed it, to personalize ads. See the AppLovin Privacy Policy and the Google Privacy Policy. We only receive aggregated reports, such as how many ads were shown and what they earned.
Tracking permission and consent
On iOS 14.5 and later, the game asks your permission before the ad networks can use your advertising identifier to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies. If you decline, the identifier isn’t shared and you still see ads, which may be less relevant. You can change this at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the game shows a consent form from Google’s User Messaging Platform before ads are requested, and you can change your choices at any time with Privacy choices in the game’s Options.
Purchases
Coin packs, the starter pack and Remove Ads (and, for players who bought them before, the earlier full-game, hints and answers unlocks) are processed by Apple or Google. We don’t receive your name, account or payment details. The app checks your purchases with Apple or Google on your device, and Restore Purchases brings back Remove Ads and earlier unlocks on a new device. Remove Ads stops the ads between scenes; reward videos stay available if you want them.
Our server
Like any internet service, our server (push.appchair.com) sees your device’s IP address when the game contacts it. To stop automated abuse of the email sign-up we keep only a salted, one-way hash of the address for that purpose. Connection logs are kept for a limited time for security and troubleshooting. Data is sent to our server over encrypted connections.
Children
This is a general-audience game. It is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Retention and security
Data stored on your device stays there until you delete it or uninstall the app. Push tokens and the details sent with them are kept while notifications can be delivered to your device and deleted when Apple or Google tell us a token is no longer valid. Email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them; after you unsubscribe we keep only what we need to make sure you aren’t emailed again. The ad networks keep advertising data according to their own policies.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, or to object to its use. You can switch notifications off in Options or your device settings, unsubscribe from emails with the link in every email, and use the tracking setting and Privacy choices for advertising. For anything else, email us and we will help.
Changes
If a future version changes these practices, we will update this policy and the store privacy details before that version is released.
